J-Ning's Updated developments - 13.5months

Here are some of latest developments of J-Ning;

1. Know how to shake her head to indicate No. (sometimes, out of sudden, she will say No) . "Jumping" action when she hears yes. ( Her version of acknowledgment)
2. She will also sway her body when she listens to her songs even though it is not her favourite songs.
3. Very capable of taking out my can foods n stack them up high.
4. She is pretty good when she hears "where", she will do the action wif her hands open. Its very funny though to see the way she does this.
5. She likes to take my wireless mouse n assume thats a telephone n start yuking away. I think i might need to change my wireless mouse pretty often at the way she finishes using her "Phone" n throw it on the floor.
6. Oh yes, she knows how to identify a girl, woman n a boy, man. The funny thing is she only allows ladies to touch her.

Speech:

1. keep saying words like :(English) Back, nice nice- (recently when she sees someting nice she will say this), pear. Chinese : 头，手，耳。

Vocab recognition:She is an expert in this.

1. Chinese: She will find her teddy bear when she hears 玩具熊， she will point to the respective like 灯， 沙发， 洗衣机. Parts of her body, she knows them pretty well now.
2. Opposites: She knows how to differentiate opps like Long n short ; light n dark, full n empty, far n near, low n high, etc.
3. Actions: running, jumping , laughing- this is the best part, she will laugh fakely when she hears this, walking, etc.
4. Couplets: She is still pretty weak in this area cos there are 2 words like : pink toes. so i use her noddy story book to capture words like yellow bird, purple balloon, i find that she can learn faster that way as she is familiar wif the book.

Phonics:

She loves them very much n she can sit wif me for this session for at least half an hour wif the help of the starfall website. Sometimes, when she sees the alphabet she will say it out .But i guess, it sort of make her confuse wif the alphabets. I guess i will have to make the alphabet flashcard to correct her.

Story:

1. She simply loves stories like : "Colors of the rainbow", "the picnic", "the boy n his toy" she will grin as widely as she can when she hears this n that makes her more alert n learn more.

Things to improve:

I gave her a shape sorter toy wif 5 shapes n so far , she is only capable of putting the circle into the correct slot.

Need to spend more time to create more flashcards for her.

Need to find an interesting way to teach her maths, cos she will keep hitting her head when she sees the red dots on her flashcard so i stop for a while .

Hopefully i am able to see an improvements in all these in a while's time. =)
