Never underestimate an infant's brain , they are so capable of absorbing informations like a sponge.. n one fine day, all these informations will be just springing up .
In fact, i was very much amazed wif J-ning.. i guess its the boring envoirnment which had bored her n the only thing she can do is read books n flashcard lessons, n my utensils, vaccum cleaner, mop , baking trays, baskets are under mercy of her. She likes to imitate me doing my house work (as usual) n words n phases will start springing out from her little mouth.. even in her dreams- keep saying "again","again" cos she always like me to repeat reading story books to her that i got pretty feed up sometimes cos i still need to do my houseworks.
Once she has finished her milk, she will "instruct" me ( saying keep the bottle) or when she finished her bread ( she will say" no more already") . I was stunned when i heard these coming out from her.
There has been a baby dove visiting us punctually every evening n she will say " dove"- my eyes were round wif wonder cos i dun remember teaching her this.
Her recent progressions are on Alphabets , numbers n Chinese. Now she is able to tell me A to Z , sometimes need my supervision to link certain alphabets for her n the numbers ( 1 TO 10) in both chinese n english too. Although incomplete, i will very much say i am very proud. At least my efforts have been paid off!
There is a set of flashcards that showed Lifecycle of a Ladybug. I was pretty amazed when i ask her to point to me the cards in sequence... Motivates me to find more informations of life cycle of other insects/ animals to show it to her.
I need to move really fast cos of her inquistive nature n impatience that i cant use the set of cards for a week like i used to. I have to change the cards within 3 days n keep sourcing for informations, but i dun really mind as long as she is learning something.
She is now like a little adult except that she is not yet potty trained. That will be my next target for i have been reading books n showing her abt "Potty Training" to arouse her interest in this area.
But there is something that i need to buck up, she is still not drinking from a straw.. but she loves to drink from her bottle- especially when she has gotten those small bottles of evian bottles. I guess that might be a mini start up for her to move on to drinking from a cup.
